Online Mastering
Mastering is the final stage of production, where a mixed track is refined and optimized for CD, digital distribution, and streaming.
It balances tone and loudness, brings sonic consistency to the work, adjusts spacing between songs, and prepares the final delivery formats for pressing plants or digital platforms (DDP, CD-DA, WAV).
At Crunch Studio, our experienced mastering engineers draw on a wide range of production experience to bring greater clarity, impact, and depth to your music.
We handle a wide range of genres with care and precision, from singer-songwriter to pop, rock, and metal.
We offer everything from single-track mastering (tone and loudness adjustment with WAV delivery) to album and EP mastering (tone, loudness, spacing, PQ editing, and master disc delivery).
We also offer Stem Mastering and Mix Feedback as additional options.
Crunch Studio’s online mastering service is ideal for remote projects, helping turn your mixes into a finished master that reflects exactly what you want to hear.

About Stem Mastering
Stem Mastering is recommended for artists who feel, “I handled the mix myself, but I’m not fully confident in the mastering,” or “I want the mastering process to be more active and flexible.”
Instead of submitting a standard stereo mix (2-mix), you provide the material divided into instrument groups, and the mastering engineer makes detailed adjustments to each stem before carrying out the final mastering.
With standard stereo mastering, for example, reducing the low-mid range of the drums also affects the low-mid range of other instruments, which often requires compromise. With stem mastering, however, it becomes possible to reduce the low-mid only on the drum stem while enhancing it on the guitar stem, allowing for much more flexible and precise control.
This makes the mastering process more active, more flexible, and more precise.
If your budget allows, we highly recommend Stem Mastering as an additional option.
About Mix Feedback
Mix Feedback is recommended for artists who feel, “I handled the mix myself, but I’m not fully confident in the result,” “I want to improve my mix before mastering,” or “I’d like an objective third-party perspective.”
Before the actual mastering begins, the engineer listens to your mix and provides specific feedback in report form, including concrete suggestions for improvement as well as overall impressions.
Mastering delivers its full value when the mix is already in good shape. If you want to refine your mix as much as possible before mastering, this option is a highly effective way to get objective, professional feedback.
File format: WAV or AIFF
Bit depth: 16-bit or higher (24-bit recommended)
Sample rate: 44.1 kHz or higher
・If you are using a maximizer, limiter, compressor, or dither on the mix bus or final output, please remove it before exporting.
・Please add the track number at the beginning of each file name (for example: 01 Come Together.wav / 02 Something.wav / ...).
・Please export at the same bit depth and sample rate used in your recording and mixing project.
■ For album / EP mastering
・Please provide the artist name, album title, track titles, composer name, arranger name, JAN code, and ISRC in a text file or by email.
・Please let us know your preferred delivery format (DDP or CD-DA).
■ For Stem Mastering
・Please organize the stems in separate folders for each song.
・Folder names should begin with the track number followed by the song title (for example: 01 Come Together / 02 Something / ...).
・Please align the start point of all stems to the beginning of the song.
・Please export the stems so that, when all files are played back together at 0 dB and center pan, they reproduce your original mix.
・For reference and verification, please also include the final stereo mix (2MIX).
・Please place each instrument stem in the song folder. File names should begin with the track number and instrument name (for example: 01_drums.wav / 01_vocal.wav).
・As a guideline, please prepare around 8 stem tracks per song (for example: drums, bass, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, keyboards, vocal, chorus, effects).
