Stem mastering is a mastering process that uses separate stem files for each part or instrument group.
It allows more detailed adjustments that are difficult with standard stereo 2-mix mastering, making it possible to shape the sound more flexibly.
This is an effective option when you want to take the overall quality one step further.

Detailed Adjustment by Part

Drums, bass, guitars, vocals, and other parts can be adjusted individually with EQ and balance processing before the final master is shaped.

More Flexible Than 2-Mix Mastering

Processing that would affect the entire stereo mix can instead be focused on specific instruments when working with stems.

For example, if we want to reduce the midrange of the drums, a standard 2-mix master would also affect other instruments.
With stem mastering, we can reduce only the midrange of the drums while boosting the midrange of the guitars, allowing part-by-part adjustment.

To get the most out of mastering, the condition of the mix is also important.
Mix Feedback is an optional service where we point out issues and areas for improvement before mastering begins.
It is recommended for anyone who wants to move into mastering with a better mix, feels unsure about their own mix, or wants an objective professional opinion.

What is the turnaround time?

The first master is usually delivered within 2 to 5 days. If you are in a hurry, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Is same-day or next-day rush delivery available?

Yes. We will do our best to accommodate rush requests. Please contact us first.

How many revisions are included?

There is no strict limit unless the requests are excessive. In most cases, the process is completed within 0 to 2 rounds.

How do revision requests work?

Revision requests are usually handled by email or LINE. If you prefer to communicate by phone, please let us know.

Can I attend the final adjustment in person?

Yes. In-person final adjustments are available. Please note that separate studio charges will apply.

What is the online workflow from request to delivery?

The workflow is: data transfer, discussion of your requests, payment, first master delivery, revisions, and final delivery. The entire process can be completed online.

What are the benefits of outsourcing mastering?

With objective ears and a high-quality equipment environment, we can optimize the sound in line with your intent. It also helps ensure better compatibility with streaming platforms and loudness requirements.

Can I request mastering even if I am unsure about my mix?

Yes. Mastering works best when the mix is already in good shape. If you are unsure about your mix, Mix Feedback or Stem Mastering may help improve the final result. Please feel free to ask us.

Do you support mastering for digital releases?

Yes. We can master your music with streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music in mind.

Can you create DDP files for CD pressing?

Yes. For album and EP mastering, we can create DDP files for CD pressing. We can also handle PQ editing and spacing adjustment for CD production.

Can I request mastering for just one song?

Yes. You can request mastering from one song, which is also useful if you want to check the final quality before committing to a larger project.
